Free Fun in Florence

Florence County Public Library

Aside from regular book clubs, the Florence County Public Library often has craft or info nights for the public for free. These crafts include painting, learning how to cook a recipe and more. Block Parties and Festival

During the warmer summer months, downtown Florence hosts free block parties with music for the public! Bring your lawn chair and enjoy some free entertainment with some friends.

Be on the look out for seasonal festivals like the Pecan Festival and Shamrock! Those are also free to attend.

Addie's Baby Studio

Located on 290 W Evans St, Addie's Baby Studio holds regular painting classes for both adults and kids. Many private parties and companies plan special events for their team and can choose to have it hosted at Addie's Baby Studio. They will work with any large party to do it outside the studio too! When you're coming to a Paint & Sip session at Addie's Baby, you can bring your own beverage of choice (BYOB)! Addie's Baby Studio is located in downtown Florence. Paint Nite

Update: There is currently no painting event available for Florence, SC by Paint Nite, as the previous vendor has discontinued traveling to Florence. This national company used to host regular events at Local Motive Brewing Co. in downtown Florence and Mellow Mushroom near Magnolia Mall. Fitness Social Events

Staying active releases endorphins "happy hormones" and sharing the same hobbies as a friend makes it so much fun. At a couple breweries here in Florence, they would host yoga and beer events and other work out events. Many of them are on the weekends during the day or evenings.

Going to any gym and bringing a friend as a guest is a great way to have some mommy time.

There are also a few regular 5k runs throughout the year in Florence! Look out for the All 4 Autism (usually in March) and Run Like a Nut (usually in November).

Trivia and drinking go hand-in-hand because they are a great combo in using brain power and laughter power.

Trivia Nights

For those who like to share their knowledge with others, trivia nights are a great way to do that with some friends. In the past, several locations including: 1720 Burger Bar, Mellow Mushroom and Seminar Brewing have held trivia nights for their patrons.

Mellow Mushroom would periodically have trivia nights. It's free to play and you could win Mellow Mushroom gift cards, exclusive merchandise from breweries & distilleries, free pitchers of beer and more! Seminar Brewing usually has their trivia nights on Wednesdays from 7pm - 9pm. I notice that sometimes they would skip a Wednesday here and there.
